Inchydoney Island & Galley Head eBike Tour with Lunch at The Fish Basket

4 hours and 30 minutes

Challenging

Our signature coastal eBike adventure explores the spectacular coastline around Inchydoney Island and Galley Head. Ride quiet West Cork bóithríní with a local Gormú guide on a 40 km journey along the Wild Atlantic Way - includes local seafood lunch.

This is our signature coastal eBike adventure, showcasing one of the most beautiful stretches of the Wild Atlantic Way.

Starting at Inchydoney Island Lodge and Spa near Clonakilty, we set out on quiet West Cork bóithríní (tiny rural roads) by the sweeping sands of Inchydoney Island before heading west along the dramatic Atlantic headlands towards Galley Head. Along the way your Gormú guide shares the history, folklore and curious local tales that give this landscape its deep sense of dúchas.

We cycle through the countryside around  Ardfield and Rathbarry, where farmland meets the Atlantic and hidden coves open out to wide ocean vistas. A highlight of the ride is the spectacular Galley Head, where the Atlantic crashes against the cliffs and the famous blowhole sends spray high into the air on lively days.

Midway through the tour we stop at Long Strand for a relaxed seafood lunch at the well-known The Fish Basket, a local favourite for fresh Atlantic fish and simple coastal fare.

With comfortable Riese & Müller eBikes, small group sizes and plenty of stops to take in the scenery, this experience is less about speed and more about discovering the character, stories and landscape of the West Cork coast.

Expect sweeping Atlantic views, fascinating local stories and one of the most memorable coastal rides in Ireland.
