Cruising into County Cork?
Here's how to reach Gormú's tour departure points
If you’re arriving into Co. Cork by cruise ship and hoping to explore the wild beauty of West Cork with Gormú, you’re in for a treat. We welcome cruise guests most weeks, and it’s always a pleasure to share our hikes, walks and scenic eBike routes with new faces stepping ashore. However, you do need to plan ahead to reach us.
Port of Bantry
Bantry is one of the more convenient cruise ports, located right in the heart of West Cork. It’s about 50 minutes from our eBike tours in Union Hall, and even closer to our walking tours at Castlehaven Cross and hiking tours at Toe Head.
With its wide, open main square and lively local atmosphere, Bantry is a perfect jumping-off point for a day of storytelling and adventure..
Port of Cobh
About 1 hour and 45 minutes from our meeting points, Cobh is the most common cruise port for our guests. Some choose a taxi or private driver for the day - many drivers will wait while you tour and return you to the ship.
If you prefer a more budget-friendly option, car hire is the way to go. We recommend Great Island Car Rentals as they’re based in Cobh and can deliver your vehicle directly to the dock. A scenic drive along the Wild Atlantic Way makes the journey part of the experience.
Baltimore, Schull, Kinsale & Glengarriff
Cruise ships visit these beautiful West Cork villages during the summer season, and all are closer to our tours than Cobh. However, they often have limited or no local car rental, so it’s essential to pre-book a local taxi well in advance.

Interested in our tours? We’re here to help!
If you’re travelling from Cobh or one of the further ports, it’s worth checking if others on your ship would like to join. Sharing a car or taxi can make the journey more social and much more affordable.
While we do our best to accommodate cruise guests, our tours do run to a tight schedule. Sometimes we can move the start times slightly, especially if yours is our only booking on then day but it’s not always possible.
