Gormú Private Tours

Private West Cork Adventures - Your Group, Your Pace, Our Stories

West Cork is best discovered slowly, down the bóithríní, along the coast and through the stories of the people and places you meet along the way.

Every one of our Gormú eBike, Food & Folklore, Swim and Hiking experiences can be booked as a private tour just for your group.

For private tours we can often adjust departure times and meeting points, and arrange collection from hotels and accommodation across West Cork where it fits the itinerary. Or, if you want to go further, we can build a completely bespoke West Cork experience around you combining spectacular landscapes, eBiking, hiking, wild swimming, local food, folklore, placenames and storytelling into anything from a few unforgettable hours to a full day exploring the Wild Atlantic Way.

Why Go Private with Gormú eco-Adventures?

Our Difference is in the Detail
  • Your Group Alone - The experience is exclusively yours.
  • Local Storytelling - History, folklore, placenames, language and the stories that rarely make it into guidebooks.
  • Flexible Start Points - Depending on the experience, we can often arrange alternative meeting points or begin closer to where you're staying .
  • Hotel Collection - Collection and return can be arranged for many bespoke and full-day experiences across West Cork.
  • Go at Your Own Pace - Stop longer somewhere that catches your imagination, linger over lunch or take things easier when that suits your group.
  • West Cork Food - From Celine's home baking and artisan picnics to some of our favourite local food producers and restaurants.
  • Off the Beaten Track - Quiet bóithríní, clifftops, mountain passes, coves, ancient sites and places you would be unlikely to stumble across by yourself.
  • Small by Design - We specialise in intimate experiences rather than coach tours and large groups.

Got Questions? We've Got Answers.

Can we book one of your normal tours privately?

Yes. Any of our regular eBike Tours, Food & Folklore Walks, Swim Experiences or Hiking Tours can be arranged as a private tour, subject to availability. If you already know which experience you would like, simply get in touch and we can arrange the private booking.

Can you build a completely bespoke tour?

Absolutely. That's one of the main reasons to book privately. Tell us a little about your group, where you're staying, how much time you have and what interests you, and we can suggest an itinerary.

Can you collect us from our hotel?

Often, yes. Hotel or accommodation collection can be arranged for many of our private and bespoke experiences. It depends on where you're staying and the tour you choose, so contact us and we'll work out the most sensible option.

Can you arrange a full-day private tour of West Cork?

Yes. Our signature Gaelic Grandeur experience is designed as a full private day, and we can also create other full-day itineraries combining eBiking, hiking, food, folklore, swimming and sightseeing.

Are private tours suitable for families?

Yes. Going private can be particularly useful for families because we can adapt the pace and, depending on the experience, make the day work around different ages and abilities. Some experiences have minimum ages or other restrictions, particularly our eBike and sea experiences, so tell us the ages of everyone in your group when enquiring.

How many people can join a private tour?

We specialise in small groups. Capacity varies by experience and equipment, so contact us if you're travelling with a larger group and we'll tell you what is possible.

Do you work with travel agents, hotels and DMCs?

Yes. We work with accommodation providers and travel professionals arranging private experiences for guests visiting West Cork. Contact us directly for itinerary planning, availability and trade information.

What happens if the weather is bad?

This is West Cork and the Wild Atlantic Way, so changeable weather is part of life here. Most experiences go ahead in normal Irish weather, but safety always comes first. For private guests we have more flexibility to adjust an itinerary when conditions make that the better option.
